Hi Everyone,
Just letting everyone know what’s going on. As Paula’s email said, I am your new president for 2015.
It was the consensus of the meeting that was held in October, that we need to take the direction
of helping the new photographers. PPA and DPP were founded on the principles of education and assistance.
I would like to emphasize that aspect of DPP. I for one, can’t say enough about how each and every person
in this organization has helped my career.
We are planning a general membership meeting in January. We are having a planning meeting at Eric Young’s
studio on November 18th, at 7:00 PM. Yes, it is a board meeting, but all are welcome to attend, and bring your
ideas! The only way DPP is going to survive is to bring in new members. I sure don’t have all of the answers, but
I believe all of us are smarter than any one of us. Think about attracting the new photographers. Our newest member,
Erica Beck, was attracted to DPP for the education. She is hungry for knowledge, and is so committed to it, that she
volunteered to be on the board her very first meeting.
To those that have volunteered to be on the board, I say Thank You! I want DPP to be alive and thrive in 2015. To do that,
it’s going to take us all, and we will all reap the benefits of this organization.
