April Meeting with Lidia Miller!

Our April program is coming up quick. You won’t want to miss this one!
April 21st at Dwayne Powell’s Studio, 7 Park Ave., Milford, DE.
1:00 to 9:00. There will be a dinner break around 5:30 until 7:00.
Lidia Miller, President of Maryland PPA is teaching on tweens, with some seniors
in there too. This one is an all day, from 1:00 in the afternoon until 9:00 in the evening.
Can’t make the afternoon portion? Not to worry. Come out for the evening portion. This class
is hands on, so bring the cameras! Here’s her description of the class:
___________________________________________________________________________
Teens and tweens, playful, whimsical, fun, fragile, emotional, fashionable, creative, serious …

but how to photograph them?

Challenge your inner artist to create conceptual, fashionable and unique images that suit any age group.

The class that will walk you through the process from vision to final product.  Learn how to connect with your client and find inspiration, stage and construct the scene. Then with posing and lighting create dynamic, and artistic portraits.  Working with models, hair and makeup and props will give you the ability to create portfolio images on a shoestring budget.

This is a hands on class so bring your camera and create great images for your portfolio use.

Obviously, we can’t keep giving programs for free, as we have expenses to put these on. But, we have a great deal!

Admission is just $20 for the full day, and $10 for the evening portion. DPP members are free. Here’s the great deal

part, your admission goes toward your membership. An aspiring photographer membership is only $50, so membership

for the rest of the year will only be $30 if you’ve paid $20 to get in. Full membership is $100. Let’s say you decide to

join during the evening. Your admission fee will be deducted from your dues. The only way we can keep having these programs

is if we can get members. I think everyone enjoyed the program with Anthony Marill.

Come on out and support your organization. Joining DPP is the singlebest thing I did for my photographic career. Yes,

you can watch Youtube videos, but you can’t ask a question, or put the radioon your camera and create images on the spot.

Come on out and let’s all learn together, fellowship together, talk shop, and enjoy each other’s company.
